本插件是关于Grove树木植物生长Blender 2.8插件V8版，大小：130 MB，支持Blender 2.8版软件，支持Win与Mac系统，语言：英语。

F12发布了The Grove Release 8，这是这款基于Blender，用于生成生物学逼真的树模型工具的最新版本。

这一次更新增加了对Blender 2.8中新功能的支持，引入了一个完整无损的工作流程，可以在任何时间对树模型进行重新编辑操作。

The Grove Release 8新功能展示：模拟真实树木的成长形式Grove工具采用参数化方法生成树模型，带有模仿决定真实植物形式因素的控件，可以生成更加逼真的模型。

创建好树的整体形状后，Grove工具使用Twigs（实例几何体，不仅可以表示实际的小枝，还可以表示树叶、花和果子）填充细节，Twigs工具是向核心应用程序单独售卖的。

Grove是Blender插件，但是最终生成的纹理几何形状能够以正常的文件格式输出，包括FBX 和OBJ格式，可应用于其他DCC应用程序中。

现在是基于Blender 2.8的插件Release 8将Grove工具整合到Blender 2.8中，Blender 2.8经过长时间的开发终于更新了，但是目前仍处于测试阶段。

Van Keulen（Grove工具的开发者）建议艺术家们在Blender2.8正式版本发布之前不要使用Grove Release 7进行生产制作。

Grove工具使用的Blender 2.8中的一个功能是Collections系统，可以分等级显示Grove系统，将树枝和生长属性从树模型本身中分离出来。

更快、更直观、更无损的工作流程这次更新使得工作流程变得更加直观和无损，现在选择一个树枝，然后可以立即看到树枝出现在树上的效果。

生成树模型后，甚至“在使用其他工具或保存和加载场景之后”，可以重新编辑模型，或者添加风动画。

系统方面，每个树生成过程，例如生长和修枝，都被分到单独的操作器中，这样在处理更大的场景时，可以提高性能。

现在用户在软件何时重建树的形状有更多的控制选项，现在可以手动触发非必要的重新构建选项。

其他的变化包括改进了风动画和分支平滑功能，另外还有一些UI界面的变化。
